Some names may be misspelled, but that's the way they appeared in the write-up. Some I changed, others I didn't,

as I wasn't sure about the spelling, since some were spelled differently in different write-ups.

The NE. annual Cochran family reunion for 2002 was held Sunday, June 30, 2002, at the Rulo Auditorium, Rulo, NE.

A potluck dinner was held and pictures were taken. Attending were: Ron, Jeannie and Tami Rethman, Heath and Heather Christiansen; Gary, Tina, Jessica, Haley, Austin and Christopher Cochran; Norman Jr., Linda, Megan and Cody Cochran and Amber Barr; Mike, Toni, John, Kristi and Michelle Wintz; Norm and Marge Cochran and Caleb Cochran, all from Verdon, NE..

Jean Simmonds; Louis and Mildred DeRoin; Cheryl and Justin Wintz; all of Rulo, Ne.; Calvin and Vesta Cochran; Bud and Judy Cochran, all of Shubert, NE.; Kathy Mackey, Chris Beer and Kathleen M. Williams, all of Falls City, NE..

Dan, Bert, Derek and Michelle Cochran; of Bloomington, IL; Sam and Kathy Blanton; Sound Beach, N.Y.; Dave, Lois, Joshua and Ashley Blanton; of Bellevue, NE.

Awards were given to: Louis DeRoin, for oldest person at tending; to Christopher Cochran, for youngest person attending and to Sam Blanton, for person traveling the farthest and Michelle Cochran won the door prize.

Norm and Marge Cochran were in charge of the reunion. The next reunion will be held the last Sunday in June 2003, with Gary, Tina, Norman Jr. and Linda Cochran in charge. The site will be determined at a later date.

The annual NE. Cochran family reunion for 2003 was held on Sunday, June 29, at the restored Barada Schoolhouse, Barada, NE.

A potluck dinner was followed by games and prizes for the children. Awards were given to: Louie DeRoin for being the oldest in attendance, Christopher Cochran the youngest, and Sam and Cathy Blanton, from New York, for traveling the greatest distance. The door prize was won by Cody Cochran.

Those in attendance were: Gary, Tina, Jessica, Haley, Austin and Christopher Cochran; Norm Jr, Linda, Meagan, and Cody Cochran; Mike and Toni Wintz; Ron, Jeannie, and Tami Rethman and Heather Christiansen; Norm and Marge Cochran; and Del Cochran, all of Verdon.

Louie and Mildred DeRoin, of Rulo; Cal and Vesta Cochran, of Shubert; Sam and Cathy Blanton, of Sound Beach, New York City, N.Y.; Dave, Lois, Josh and Ashley Blanton, of Bellevue, NE; Debbie Findeis, of Beatrice, NE; Mid Bauer; Thelma and Denzil Bell; all of Falls City; and Jeffrey Shawn Cochran, of Lincoln, NE.

The annual event was hosted by Gary and Tina Cochran who passed the hatchet, which is the Cochran family symbol, to Sam Blanton who will host the reunion in 2004.

The reunion will he held next year on the last Sunday in June at the Barada School house.
