 Some names may be misspelled, but that's the way they appeared in the write-up.  Some I changed, others I didn't,

as I wasn't sure about the spelling, since some were spelled differently in different write-ups.

2004 Cochran Family Reunion

The annual 2004 Cochran reunion, sponsored by the descendants of Sam and Gladys Cochran, was held Sunday, June 27, at the Barada Schoolhouse.  A potluck dinner was served and family pictures were taken.

 

An award was given to Louis DeRoin, 84, the oldest person in attendance, and to the youngest, Christopher Cochran, 4, son of Gary and Tina Cochran.  Two awards for traveling the farthest; Courtney and Ashley King, San Diego, CA, tied with LeeAnn (Cochran) Tilton, Warrington, OR.  Josh Blanton won the door prize.

 

Those in attendance were; Norman and Marge Cochran; Gary, Tina, Jessica, Haley, Austin and Christopher Cochran; Norman Jr., Linda, Megan and Cody Cochran; Ron, Jeannie and Tami Rethman, Heath and Heather Christiansen; Mike and Toni Wintz and grandson Justin Fee; and Delbert Cochran; all of Verdon.

 

Louie and Mildred DeRoin, Rulo; Dave, Lois, Josh and Ashley Blanton, Bellevue; Dennis and Debbie Findeis, Beatrice; Thelma and Denzil Bell, Falls City; Cal and Vesta Cochran, Shubert; Fred and Kate Blanton, Tallahassee, FL; Melissa Lewis, Cedar Rapids, IA; Ashley and Courtney King, San Diego, CA; Sam Blanton, Long island, NY; LeeAnn and Jim Tilton, Warrington, OR; Ron, Julie, Jonathan, Bethany, Josiah and Sarah Blanton, Hutchinson, KS.

 

The annual event was hosted by Sam Blanton, who passed the hatchet, which is the Cochran family symbol, to Ron Blanton, who will host the 2005 reunion.  

 

The 2005 reunion will again be held the last Sunday of June.

2005 Cochran Family Reunion
